Currently, YOM offers 97 training courses under 6 major training categories. The major course categories include Project Management (PM), Research Methods, Data Management and Analysis (DMA), Modeling (MOD), Micro- and Macro-Economic Analysis and Policy (ECON), Financial Sector Management and Enterprise Development (FSM), and Geographic Information Systems& Remote Sensing (GIS).
In order to expand its range of training services and better meet the specific needs of its stakeholders, YOM offers a variety of tailor-made training courses, both by own capacity and in collaboration with other education and training organizations. The course contents are flexible based on the demands of customers. With years of experience in the field of education and training, YOM also provides capacity building support to other training institutions.
Training courses are available in three levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced formats, and the nature of which vary depending on the course types.

Training is scheduled for Five Consecutive Days from Monday through Friday. The minimum number of trainees expected in one session is 20. However, there is flexibility consistent with our customers’ need.

YOM delivers Modelling Course with comprehensive insight on CGE Model (Computable General Equilibrium Model) and SAM (Social Accounting Matrix). The course begins with a simple CGE formulation and extends to provide complex issues such as IFPRI and STAGE which are widely applied in the real world. In order to understand the basics of CGE modeling, the knowledge on GAMS and functional specifications which are applied in production, consumption, and goods flow will be very much helpful. The module, thus, has devoted in characterizing functional forms which are extensively used in CGE modeling and introduces the basics of GAMS using practical examples. It also extends to define and richly show how to construct as well as balance SAM. The SAM multiplier analysis and decomposition techniques have been also presented. The GAMS software and language are intensely exercised with lucid practical applications of different CGE models ranging from simple to very complex models.
In this dynamic world, countries are forced to introduce different economic policies whose likely impact ought to be examined before their actual implementation. To this end, CGE modeling and analysis are the most widely used tools to examine the impact of policies on the overall economy of a given nation. GAMS-CGE training package enables to give comprehensive insight about CGE modeling which capacitates trainees to conduct simulations and policy experiments.
