As part of its research and community service, Yom is undertaking a collaborative research on bamboo sector in Ethiopia in collaboration with University of Hohenheim (Germany) and Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA)
The research is on track since August 2016 with a title of: “Exploring Potentials of the Bamboo Sector for Employment Generation and Food Security in Ethiopia: An Institutional Analysis of Bamboo-based Value Web “. The research is conducted jointly by YOM and University of Hohenheim (Germany) in partnership with Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA). The research has sponsored three masters’ students (one Hohenheim and two from YOM) to work with their thesis in line with the objectives of the research.
